What does pregnancy discharge smell like?

I'm in my second trimester, and sometimes I notice a slight change in the smell of my discharge. I'm wondering if this is normal during pregnancy or if I should be concerned. What does pregnancy discharge typically smell like?

Normal pregnancy discharge is usually mild-smelling or completely odorless, which is just the body's natural way of protecting the womb. Keep your thoughts positive and stay hydrated. Let your body go through this sacred process with peace and care.

It should have a very mild, slightly sweet, or clean smell, nothing very strong. I used to wash with plain warm water and wear loose cotton underwear to keep things dry. But remember, if the smell becomes very foul or fishy, home remedies won't work, you must see your doctor.

Agree with the others here. It should have a very mild, non-offensive smell, and if it smells strong or fishy, you should consult your doctor.

Usually, normal discharge (leukorrhea) has a very faint, mild scent that is barely noticeable. I logged my symptoms daily on my pregnancy tracker to monitor any sudden changes. If you notice a strong, yeasty, or sour smell along with itching, it’s best to get it checked for a possible infection.

My mother told me that a light, mild smell is very natural as the body prepares for childbirth. However, I always trust my doctor's word above all. If the smell becomes sharp, itchy, or looks greenish, please mention it to your gynecologist during your next scan.

It normally has a very mild, gentle scent that isn't strong at all. Try not to worry too much about it. If you ever feel uncomfortable or notice a bad smell, a quick call to your doctor will help you feel much better.

I used to feel so self-conscious and anxious about every little change and smell down there during my pregnancy. It really took a toll on my peace of mind. Normal discharge has a very light, mild smell, but if it's stressing you out, please talk to your gynac to ease your mind.
