What does pregnancy bloating feel like?

I'm just a few weeks into my first pregnancy, and I've been feeling really bloated, like I've eaten a very heavy meal all the time. Is this normal? What does pregnancy bloating usually feel like?

It feels like your stomach is constantly full and stretched, even if you only drank water. My fitness app logs showed this started around week 6 due to high progesterone slowing down digestion. Drinking plenty of water and tracking fiber intake really helped me manage the discomfort.

My wife is going through this right now in her first trimester. She says it feels like she has swallowed a heavy balloon that won't pop, especially after dinner. Her regular jeans stopped fitting because of the swelling, even though her actual baby bump hasn't started showing yet.

Oh, it feels like a super tight, bubbly balloon in your tummy that makes you want to unbutton your pants constantly! Don't stress too much about it, it is just hormones doing their job. Wear loose, comfy maxi dresses and take it easy.

It actually feels like you are permanently stuffed with gas, and your stomach gets rock hard, yaar. Even wearing simple leggings feels so irritating on the waist. Drinking warm water throughout the day helps a bit to release that heavy feeling.

It is a heavy, tight sensation in the lower abdomen as the body adapts to support new life. Take slow, deep breaths and accept these small physical changes as part of this beautiful journey. Eating simple, fresh meals in peace can bring much relief.

It feels like that extreme, tight fullness you get after a massive cheat meal, but it just doesn't go away the next morning. Gentle 20-minute post-meal walks and avoiding carbonated drinks can help keep your digestion active. Make sure to keep moving if your doctor allows it.
