What does cortisol weight gain look like?

My doctor said my cortisol levels are a bit high and it might be contributing to my weight gain. I've put on weight mainly around my midsection. What does cortisol weight gain typically look like on the body?

Basically, it's not like regular fat everywhere. With high cortisol, the fat tends to collect mostly around your stomach area, making your belly bigger, even if you don't look heavy otherwise. Sometimes a puffy face too. If you're seeing this, don't just blame food, check with a doc.

Cortisol weight gain usually shows up around your mid-section, like a 'paunch' or belly fat, even if your arms and legs stay thin. Also, some people get a 'moon face' or a fatty hump on their back between the shoulders. If you suspect this, maybe talk to a doctor about getting your cortisol levels checked; it might save you from trying expensive, unhelpful diets.

Haan na, it's not like normal motapa. Isme पेट pe zyada fat aata hai, like ek pot belly ban jaati hai. Face bhi thoda gol-gol lagne lagta hai, 'moon face' bolte hain. Aur kabhi-kabhi shoulders ke beech bhi fat जमा hota hai. If you see this pattern, better show a doctor, don't ignore it.

It's a specific type of weight distribution. You'll notice fat mainly accumulating around your midsection, often called 'abdominal obesity,' and sometimes a rounded face. It's not usually uniform weight gain. If you're experiencing this along with high stress, consult an endocrinologist. Timely intervention can make a big difference.

I totally get it, weight gain is frustrating, especially if it feels different. With cortisol, it's usually very centralized around the abdomen, like a rounder belly, and sometimes a rounder face too. Your arms and legs might stay relatively thin. It's often linked to stress, so managing that is key, but do talk to a doctor to rule out other causes.

Back in my day, we just called it stress weight! But yes, it means the fat sits mostly on your tummy, making it bigger, and sometimes your face can look quite round. Your arms and legs might stay thin. It's a sign your body is under too much pressure. Try to relax more and talk to a good doctor if you're worried.

It often looks like fat accumulating mainly around your abdomen, giving you a bigger tummy, and sometimes your face can look rounder, almost puffy. It's different from general weight gain. While stress reduction and healthy eating can help manage cortisol, if it's very pronounced, a doctor's consultation is important.

Hey, don't stress too much, but it's good to be aware. Cortisol-related weight gain typically shows up as increased fat around your middle, like your stomach, and sometimes a fuller or rounder face. It's usually not evenly distributed like general weight gain. If you're noticing this pattern and feeling stressed, it's a good idea to consult a doctor, just to understand it better.
