What does alcohol do to your liver?

My father drinks quite a bit, and I'm worried about his health. I know alcohol is bad for the liver, but what exactly does it do to this organ over time? What are the main ways it causes damage?

Alcohol is really hard on the liver. It makes it work overtime to process the toxins, which can lead to inflammation and damage over time. That's why cutting down or quitting is so important. Instead of drinking, I prefer to go for a brisk walk or hit the gym, it's much better for the whole body.

Bhai, simple si baat hai, too much alcohol means your liver gets damaged. It starts with fatty liver, then inflammation, and can lead to serious issues like cirrhosis. If you care about your health, you have to cut back or stop. There's no other way.

I totally get why you'd ask this, it's a concern for many. Alcohol is a big burden on the liver, it's the main organ that processes it. Over time, this can lead to different stages of liver disease, from fatty liver to more severe conditions. It's so important to be mindful of how much we consume.

From what I've learned about diet and health, alcohol introduces toxins your liver has to work very hard to remove. This can inflame it and reduce its efficiency. Eating a clean, plant-based diet helps support liver function, which is even more important if you consume alcohol.
