What do pregnancy tests detect?

My husband and I are trying for a baby, and I've been buying a lot of pregnancy tests. I understand they tell you if you're pregnant, but what exactly do these tests detect in the body to give a positive result?

They basically look for a specific hormone called hCG in your urine. This hormone only starts building up in your body after a fertilized egg attaches to your uterus. If the strip picks it up, you get a positive line.

It checks for the hCG hormone which goes up quickly in early pregnancy. Honestly, if you missed your period or are feeling off, don't wait around like I did with my health issues. Just take the test and see a gynecologist to confirm things properly.

I know how stressful waiting for health answers can be, your mind just runs in circles. To answer your question, these home kits test for a pregnancy hormone called hCG. Take a deep breath, try first-morning urine for the most accurate result, and it will give you some clarity.

I totally get it, waiting to test can make you so anxious. These kits detect hCG, a hormone your body starts making only during pregnancy. It is best to wait until the first day of your missed period so the hormone levels are high enough to be detected.

They are basically science detectors searching for a VIP hormone called hCG. Your body only produces this VIP guest when a baby is on the way. So if that tiny line shows up, it means the guest has officially arrived!

It is all biological—the test looks for the hCG hormone in your system. While you are tracking this, just make sure you are keeping your nutrition clean and staying active. It really helps keep your hormone levels and overall stress in check.
