What do liver spots look like on the face?

I'm starting to get dark patches on my face, and I'm not sure if it's just sun damage or something else. My aunt mentioned 'liver spots', so I'm trying to understand what they look like on the face.

They look like flat, brown or gray circular spots, like large freckles on the cheeks or forehead. I have had them for twenty years now, and they are completely harmless marks of a life spent in the sun. Don't worry about them, they are just a natural part of growing older.

I read they look like flat, brownish spots that appear on the cheeks and nose. I am quite shy to ask, but do these spots mean there is something wrong with my liver, or is it just from the sun?

They look like flat, harmless dark brown patches on the skin. Don't stress too much about them, they are very common as we age. Just wear some sunscreen when you go out.

On my face, they appeared as flat, dark tan patches on my cheekbones. I am not a doctor, but my dermatologist told me they are just sun spots and have nothing to do with my liver. Applying sunscreen daily has kept them from getting darker in my case.

They look like flat brown patches that love to park themselves right on your cheeks. At my age, between grey hair and these spots, my face is keeping its own diary of the years. Honestly, just ignore them or use a bit of concealer if you want.
