What causes sudden hair loss?

My hair has suddenly started falling out a lot, more than usual, and I'm really worried about it. I've tried some new shampoos but it's not helping. What causes sudden hair loss?

One day you have a full head of hair, and the next day the bathroom drain looks like a small animal is living there! Sudden hair loss is often just our body reacting to heavy stress, a recent fever, or just aging catching up. Don't worry too much, or the stress will make more of it fall out!

I tried onion juice, curd masks, and methi seeds when I had sudden hair fall, and while they soothened my scalp, the real cause was severe iron deficiency. Sudden hair loss is often due to telogen effluvium from stress, thyroid issues, or low vitamins. Do get your blood tests done alongside home care.

Sudden hair fall often happens after a major physical stressor, like a severe crash diet, extreme workouts, or a heavy bout of viral fever. Focus on getting enough protein, sleeping well, and maintaining light, regular exercise to reduce stress. A dermatologist can help pin down the exact nutritional gap.

Sudden hair loss shouldn't be ignored as it can be a sign of underlying issues like thyroid imbalance, autoimmune alopecia, or severe nutritional deficiencies. Please visit a qualified dermatologist who can check your scalp and run blood tests to find the exact cause safely.

I have started losing clumps of hair suddenly since last month and it's making me so anxious. Has anyone else experienced this after having a high fever or during a very stressful work phase? I'm really scared I might lose half my hair if it doesn't stop soon.
