What causes rapid hair loss?

I've been noticing a lot of hair coming out when I comb or wash my hair lately, much more than usual. This rapid hair loss is making me quite worried. What are some common reasons this happens?

Rapid hair loss can be triggered by sudden stress, nutritional deficiencies like low iron or B12, or hormonal imbalances like thyroid issues. While it is tempting to try various hair oils, consulting a dermatologist or getting a blood test done first is the most scientific approach.

Agree with the advice here, sudden hair fall is usually linked to internal deficiencies or stress. Getting a basic blood panel done for Vitamin D, B12, and thyroid will give you a very clear picture.

I went through sudden, heavy hair fall last year after a bad bout of viral fever, and it was so scary. My doctor explained it was telogen effluvium, which happens a few months after physical stress or illness. It got much better once I started taking iron supplements, so don't lose hope!

Rapid hair loss doesn't happen without an internal cause, usually severe stress, thyroid issues, or poor nutrition. Stop wasting money on expensive shampoos that only wash your hair. Go to a dermatologist, get a blood test, and treat the root cause.

I totally get it, watching your hair fall out rapidly is so heartbreaking and stressful. It is usually just your body reacting to stress, hormones, or nutritional gaps. Please take a deep breath, it is highly treatable, and seeing a skin specialist will help you fix it.

I am not an expert, but when I faced massive hair fall last year, it was directly connected to my stressful lifestyle and lack of sleep. I started focusing on sleeping 7 hours and eating a high-protein diet, which worked wonders for me. Your case might be different, so do what feels right for you.
