Honestly, please don't wait or try to guess the reason. Protein in urine can sometimes indicate high blood pressure or preeclampsia, which needs immediate attention. You should contact your gynecologist today itself and get it checked for safety.

Please get this tested immediately by a doctor. During my eighth month, I noticed some swelling and delayed my urine test, thinking it was just normal pregnancy fatigue. It turned out to be early preeclampsia and things got quite stressful at the hospital. Don't make the mistake I did, get your BP and urine checked right away.

Sometimes even a mild urinary tract infection or just dehydration can cause this, ho na. But during pregnancy, we can't take any risk with these things. Just speak to your doctor once and they will guide you properly, tension mat lo.

It is usually linked to kidney stress, high blood pressure, or sometimes just a basic UTI. Since your wife is pregnant, don't rely on online forums for this. Get a proper lab test done and show the reports to her doc as soon as possible.

First thing, make sure she is drinking plenty of clean water, as sometimes concentration of urine shows false positives. Then, just get a fresh urine routine test done from a reliable local lab. Take the report to your family doctor to see if any simple medicine or diet change is needed.

In many cases, it is just due to a minor kidney strain or a simple infection, but we also have to rule out gestational hypertension. Keep a check on her blood pressure at home if you have a machine. Take the lab report to her gynecologist so they can do a quick review.

Oh god, pregnancy is just one test after another, no peace at all! I remember having a scare with this because I barely drank water and was totally dehydrated. Still, please show the report to your doctor, because you definitely don't want any extra sleepless nights worrying about it.
