What causes pain on the outside of the knee?

After my morning walk, I've been feeling a sharp pain on the outside of my knee. It's not constant, but it flares up when I bend or put weight on it. I usually don't have knee issues, so this is new.

Outside knee pain is often IT band syndrome, especially if you sit all day and then suddenly do heavy workouts. Honestly, we don't have time to wait around for weeks for it to heal. Just get a quick physiotherapist session to learn the right foam rolling techniques.

Haan na, outside knee pain is really troublesome, especially while climbing down the stairs. Even my cousin had this, and she had to use a crepe bandage for a week. Thoda rest lo and warm water bag try karo, it will help.

This is a classic symptom of Iliotibial (IT) band tightness, very common among runners. If your ortho says it is fine, you should focus on gentle hamstring stretches and light walks on flat surfaces. Avoid running or steep stair climbing until the inflammation settles down.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! Outside knee pain is super common, especially if you recently started running or took a long flight. Just give it some rest, apply ice, and wear a supportive knee band for a few days. You will be totally fine!

I struggle with joint inflammation sometimes due to my PCOS and hormonal fluctuations. I've had this outside knee ache, and my physiotherapist told me it was related to hip weakness. I'd suggest consulting a professional rather than guessing, as our bodies are very interconnected.

At my age, managing high BP means I have to keep my weight in check with walking, but outside knee pain can really halt my routine. It's important to monitor our lifestyle and ensure our joints aren't taking too much pressure. Always get a doctor's advice before trying to walk through the pain.

Bro, my outer knee started hurting just from walking to my favorite food stalls block by block! I guess carrying around all this extra food weight is starting to show on my joints. Definitely need to cut down on the heavy dinners and give the leg some rest.

Sometimes nutrient deficiencies can make our ligaments more prone to strain and outer knee pain. Ensuring you get enough calcium, vitamin D, and anti-inflammatory vegetarian foods like turmeric milk can support joint health. However, a doctor must examine it to rule out any ligament tear.
