What causes pain on inner side of knee?

Been having a dull ache on the inner side of my left knee for a few weeks now. It gets worse when I walk a lot or climb stairs. Could it be related to my old sports injury?

I went crazy searching online when my inner knee started hurting, thinking I needed surgery. But when I went to the doctor, it turned out to be just a minor muscle strain from climbing stairs too fast. Don't worry, it is very common and usually goes away with a little rest and ice.

Inner knee pain shouldn't be ignored because it could be a meniscus tear or a ligament strain. I always believe in getting an X-ray or MRI done if the pain lasts more than three days. Better to see an orthopaedic doctor quickly to avoid making the injury worse.

In my experience, inner knee pain often happens when our hips are tight and we lose proper alignment. Gentle stretching and pranayama to reduce body inflammation can help a lot. Please rest the leg and avoid any hard twisting postures until the pain subsides.

Arey, sometimes it is just due to worn-out footwear or walking on hard surfaces. Before spending heavily, try using a simple crepe bandage and knee cap for support, and do some hot water fermentation. If it still hurts after a week, then definitely go to the local clinic.

I sit at my desk for 9 hours and got this inner knee ache from keeping my legs crossed constantly. Honestly, we just need to take active breaks and stretch every hour. If you don't have time for hospital visits, try a video consultation with a physiotherapist to get some quick exercises.

I had this exact issue last month and booked an appointment at a reputed multispecialty hospital near me. The ortho doctor explained it clearly after a physical exam and suggested some specific physio. It is best to visit a good hospital and ask them directly instead of guessing.
