What causes liver spots on face?

Recently, I've noticed a few dark spots appearing on my face, especially near my temples. My granddaughter said they might be 'liver spots'. What causes these liver spots on the face? Are they related to liver health?

Liver spots on the face are a common sign of aging and sun damage, not related to the actual liver. For diabetes, we are careful with sugar and diet, which helps overall health. But for these spots, regular sunscreen and avoiding direct sun are important. A skin doctor can give best advice.

Listen, I once ignored a skin spot and it turned out to be something I needed to get removed. These 'liver spots' on the face, though usually harmless and from sun exposure, should still be shown to a dermatologist. Don't be like me and regret not checking it sooner!

Our body shows the passage of time. Liver spots on the face are often from the sun's touch over many years, a natural part of growing older. Accept it with grace, but also take care of your skin. Positive thoughts and self-care are always helpful, and consulting an expert for skin health is wise.

My eldest daughter developed some faint spots on her face after a lot of time in the sun during her college days. The dermatologist told us they are 'sun spots' or 'age spots,' not liver-related. Use good sunscreen regularly and protect your skin. If they really bother you, there are treatments available.

Hey yaar, 'liver spots' on the face are mostly just sun damage and getting older, not actually your liver playing tricks! Don't stress too much about them. Just slather on that sunscreen and wear a hat if you're out. If you're really worried, a quick visit to a skin doc will clear everything up!

I've started noticing some faint brown spots on my cheeks lately and got super worried if it's my liver. Are these 'liver spots' really common as we age? Has anyone else found effective ways to make them less noticeable? I'm getting so anxious about them.

I just went through this! I had 'liver spots' on my face and was so stressed. My dermatologist confirmed they were solar lentigines, basically sun damage. She gave me a brightening cream and advised strict sunscreen. They've lightened up a lot! So don't worry, it's manageable, just see a derm.

No need to worry about costly liver tests for these spots on the face. These are typically just sun or age spots, so the issue is more cosmetic or skin-related. A visit to a dermatologist is the right approach. Maybe they can suggest affordable creams or procedures if needed.
