What causes hair loss in teens?

I'm only 18, and recently I've started losing a lot of hair. My scalp is also getting quite visible. It's really upsetting me. What are the usual reasons for hair loss in teenagers?

Teenage years are filled with a lot of mental pressure and fast-paced changes. Keep your mind calm, avoid worrying too much about your looks, and take care of your body with pure food and deep breathing. This phase will pass beautifully.

Haan, aaj kal ke bache junk food bahut khate hain aur late night tak phone chalate hain na. Isse hormonal imbalance ho jata hai aur baal jhadne lagte hain. Lifestyle thoda sudharo, sab thik ho jayega.

Teenagers can also develop thyroid issues, which is a major, often overlooked cause of early hair thinning. Please get a simple TSH blood test done for them. Early detection and doctor follow-up make treatment very easy.

I tried all kinds of egg masks and methi pastes on my teenage daughter's hair, but the shedding didn't stop. It only got better when we checked her blood levels and corrected a severe iron deficiency. Focus on nutrition first, external packs come later.

My grandmother always suggests applying pure hibiscus paste on the head for teenage hair fall to cool the body down. It is very soothing, but hair loss in teens can also be due to hormonal shifts or thyroid. So please get a doctor's advice as well.

Bro, the pressure of board exams and JEE/NEET prep literally makes our hair fall out. Plus, eating random canteen food and sleeping for just 4 hours is super common in our age group, which totally ruins our hair health.
