What causes hair loss?

I've noticed a lot more hair falling out in my comb and during showers lately, more than usual. It's becoming a bit concerning. What are the common reasons for hair loss?

From my own experience with high blood pressure, extreme stress and some medications can trigger massive hair fall. Along with monitoring your BP, getting a basic blood panel done to check vitamin levels is very helpful.

Using a mild onion juice or warm coconut oil massage can strengthen the hair roots if it is just seasonal shedding. But if your hair is falling out in large clumps or you see bald patches, please consult a dermatologist immediately.

Hair loss can be really distressing to deal with. It's often just due to stress, hard water, or nutritional gaps. Take care of yourself, eat well, and things will surely improve.

Don't waste your money on those viral hair oils or onion shampoos you see on Instagram. Hair fall is mostly internal, due to genetics, hormones, or vitamin deficiencies. Save your time and consult a proper dermatologist.

Look, boss, no magic oil is going to grow your hair back if your diet is bad and you are sleeping at 3 AM. Fix your routine, drink plenty of water, and if it still keeps falling, go see a doctor instead of crying about it.

My hair was thinning terribly until my routine blood test showed my TSH levels were extremely high. Once my thyroid medication was adjusted by the doctor, my hair fall reduced significantly. Please get your thyroid tested.
