What causes hair loss and thinning?

My hair has not only been falling out a lot, but it also feels much thinner than before. My ponytail is barely half its size. What causes both hair loss and thinning at the same time?

In our busy schedules, stress and quick meal habits are the main reasons for thinning hair. Don't waste time on complicated DIY packs. Just get a standard blood test done this weekend to check your iron and Vitamin D levels.

It is usually due to iron deficiency, stress, or hormonal changes. Getting a basic blood test is the best first step.

I suffered from severe hair thinning for months before discovering it was due to thyroid imbalance. It is so important to get your T3, T4, and TSH tested regularly, as hormone levels directly impact your hair health.

Hey, please don't let this stress you out too much; it only makes the hair fall worse. Thinning is very common and completely reversible once you find the root cause, whether it's stress or a vitamin gap. We will get this sorted, don't worry.

Everyone on the internet has a different home remedy, but half of them actually damage your scalp more. Hair thinning is a medical issue, so skip the online trends and let a qualified dermatologist examine your scalp.

I was researching this and it's interesting how even the quality of tap water we use to wash our hair can cause mineral buildup and lead to thinning. It is a mix of both internal health and external environment.

Instead of buying expensive brand shampoos that cost thousands, just spend 800 rupees on a complete hemogram and thyroid test. Finding the exact deficiency first will save you a lot of money in the long run.

When I visited a top specialist at the hospital, they explained that genetic patterns and stress are the primary causes of thinning. I highly recommend consulting an experienced dermatologist rather than trying to self-diagnose.
