What can i use for heartburn during pregnancy?

I'm in my third trimester, and the heartburn is becoming unbearable, especially after meals. It keeps me up at night. What can I safely use for heartburn relief during pregnancy? My regular remedies don't seem to work anymore.

Heartburn is quite common during pregnancy, unfortunately! While there are many home remedies, it's really best to speak to your gynaecologist before taking anything, even over-the-counter antacids. They can advise what's safest for you and the baby.

Ugh, heartburn! My wife went through this. It felt like her insides were on fire sometimes. Honestly, she just kinda lived on milk and small, frequent meals. And propped up pillows for sleeping. It's tough, hang in there!

My sister had this when she was pregnant. Her doc told her to avoid spicy and oily food completely. Also, not to lie down right after eating. Simple things helped her a lot, I think. Hope you feel better soon!

Beta, don't worry too much, many women feel this when they are pregnant. Try to eat less spicy food and don't sleep immediately after eating. Ghar pe thoda gulkand bhi kha sakte ho, thanda rehta hai pet ke liye.

Oh, I totally remember that! Heartburn was my constant companion in my second trimester. For me, drinking a glass of cold milk helped sometimes, or just a small piece of jaggery. And definitely no late-night snacks!

Is it really bad for you? I've been feeling it too, and it's quite uncomfortable. Sometimes I worry if it's normal or if I should be more concerned. Does anyone else get it so frequently during pregnancy?

From a diet perspective, really focus on bland, easily digestible foods. Avoid citrus, tomatoes, garlic, and onions if they trigger it. Small meals are key. Eating slowly can also make a big difference for reducing acid reflux.

While heartburn is common, if you have any other underlying conditions, like thyroid or anything, it's even more important to talk to your doctor. They might suggest different things based on your overall health. Always follow the gynaecologist's advice.

My nani used to say a little saunf (fennel seeds) after meals helps with digestion and gas. For heartburn, some people find ginger tea soothing. But if it's very severe or constant, then definitely consult your doctor, don't ignore it.

Pregnant ladies really need to be careful with what they consume. Please don't try anything without asking your doctor first. What works for one person might not be safe for another, especially when you're expecting.
