What can diabetics drink besides water?

My mother is diabetic and she gets bored of just drinking water all the time. She's asking me for options. What else can diabetics drink besides plain water that is safe?

I totally get it, drinking just plain water all day can get so boring when you are trying to manage your sugar. You can try refreshing options like unsweetened green tea, lemon water without sugar, or fresh buttermilk with a pinch of black salt. It really helps satisfy that craving for something flavorful.

Haan, unsweetened black coffee or simple warm lemon water works great, na. Just make sure you don't add any honey or jaggery, because people often think jaggery is healthy but it spikes sugar just like normal white sugar. Simple chaas is also a super option!

Haan na, finding tasty drinks without sugar is a big task. Actually, fresh tender coconut water is okay once in a while in moderate amounts, ho na, but do check with your doctor first. I usually stick to iced mint tea with a squeeze of lime.

I know how overwhelming it is to feel like almost every beverage is off-limits now, and the constant restriction can feel really exhausting. Herbal infusions like chamomile or hibiscus tea are naturally sweet-tasting and completely safe. Please take a deep breath, you will find plenty of safe routines that work for you.

Who said life becomes colorless with diabetes? You can still feel fancy drinking sparkling water with a slice of lemon or cucumber! Just stay far away from those 'packaged fruit juices' which are basically sugar bombs in disguise.
