What can cause ankle and knee pain without injury?

I've been experiencing pain in my ankles and knees for the past few weeks, but I haven't had any fall or injury. It's quite frustrating. What could be causing ankle and knee pain when there's no obvious injury?

Welcome to the 'my body makes weird noises when I stand up' club! Honestly, if you didn't trip, it could just be your body complaining about a sudden weather change or bad shoes. Unless you are creaking like an old wooden door every second, a bit of rest usually sorts it.

Haan na, without any injury even I used to get this dull pain in my knees and ankles. Actually, it turned out to be a severe Vitamin D deficiency, which is so common for us. Maybe you should check your levels once, modern lifestyle main sunlight exposure is zero, ho na!

Please don't start trying random herbal oils or heavy stretches based on online comments. Pain in multiple joints without trauma could be anything from early arthritis to uric acid issues. Go to a proper orthopedic doctor and get a blood test done first.

Bro, check your posture and your sneakers first. I had crazy ankle aches last semester just from walking around campus in flat soles with zero arch support. Changed my shoes and the pain literally vanished in a week.

Haan, weight gain also puts a lot of sudden pressure on the joints, na. If you have recently started walking or running a lot, your joints might just be protesting. Thoda warm water compress try karo, but pain check karwa lena agar kam nahi hua toh.

My physician explained that systemic inflammation or high uric acid levels can cause bilateral knee and ankle pain without any physical trauma. He advised me to cut down on purine-rich foods and ordered a kidney function test along with rheumatoid factor. It is best to get a professional evaluation to rule out gout.
