What blood pressure is high during pregnancy?

I'm in my second trimester, and my blood pressure has been a bit up and down. My doctor mentioned monitoring it closely. I'm wondering what blood pressure reading is considered high during pregnancy?

My ob-gyn explained that gestational hypertension is generally diagnosed if BP is 140/90 mmHg or higher on two occasions, at least four hours apart, after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Anything above 160/110 mmHg is considered severely high and needs immediate medical attention due to pre-eclampsia risk.

During my pregnancy, I was always told to keep my mind calm. My doctor said anything above 140/90 consistently needs attention. Sometimes deep breathing and gentle movements can help, but always check with your gynae for any high readings.

When I was pregnant, I always made sure to ask my doctor every single doubt. For BP, it's very important to know what YOUR doctor considers high for YOUR specific case, because every pregnancy is different. Don't rely on general info for this, ask your gynaecologist clearly.

I had high BP in my second pregnancy, so I know this worry. My doc said consistent readings above 140/90 are a concern. Make sure you attend all your antenatal checkups without fail and follow their diet and rest recommendations very strictly. Don't ignore swelling or headaches.

While I'm big on fitness, pregnancy BP is a different ball game. Generally, 140/90 or higher is considered high. Keep monitoring it, eat healthy as advised by your doctor, and if they clear it, light walking can be good. But strictly, only what the doctor approves.

Yaar, actually high BP in pregnancy is quite serious. My cousin had it, and her doctor told her anything above 140/90 was high. They track it super closely to prevent complications like pre-eclampsia, so just follow your doc's advice, okay?
