What are the worst foods for arthritis?

My mother has really bad arthritis, and she's trying to manage it with diet. Someone told her certain foods make it worse. Can anyone tell me what are generally considered the worst foods for arthritis? She wants to avoid them.

I completely agree that avoiding highly processed foods helps. For my mother, cutting down on white sugar made a very noticeable difference in her joint swelling.

Dealing with chronic inflammation in PCOS has taught me how much diet matters. Foods high in refined sugars, fried items, and too much red meat can trigger inflammation, which might make arthritis pain worse. It is best to observe what suits your body and talk to a nutritionist.

In my experience, refined flour, deep-fried snacks, and excessive nightshade vegetables like eggplant can sometimes aggravate joint stiffness. Along with gentle joint-freeing yoga movements, eating fresh, home-cooked Sattvik food really helps soothe the body's internal heat.

I am not an expert, but for my knee arthritis, my doctor told me to stay away from bakery items and soda. Personally, whenever I eat too much sweet or fried food, my joint pain definitely flares up the next day.

Before you stop eating various foods, go for a simple uric acid and rheumatoid factor blood test, which costs only around 500 rupees in basic labs. If those are high, then cutting out expensive packed foods, bakery items, and excess salt will save you both pain and medication costs.
