What are the trimesters of pregnancy?

My sister is pregnant for the first time, and she's a bit overwhelmed with all the information. She was asking me about the different stages of pregnancy. Can someone explain what the trimesters of pregnancy are and what happens in each?

The first trimester is weeks 1 to 12, second is weeks 13 to 26, and third is weeks 27 to 40. I was so anxious about every little cramp during my sister's pregnancy, but tracking each trimester step-by-step really helped us prepare.

Pregnancy has three stages of three months each. In the first trimester, having a piece of ginger helps with nausea, while in the third, eating light meals helps with heartburn. Take care of yourself during all these phases.

The three trimesters are basically the morning sickness phase, the peaceful phase, and the 'when is this baby coming' phase, haha. It's a long journey, so just support your spouse as much as possible throughout.

The standard division is weeks 1-12, 13-27, and 28-40. Don't rely on random internet advice for symptoms in any of these stages; always verify your scans and health changes with a qualified obstetrician.

It's basically three phases: the first is early development, the second is growth, and the third is preparation for birth. Make sure you get your routine anomaly scans done in the second trimester without fail.
