What are the symptoms of thyroid problems?

I've been feeling quite sluggish and have difficulty concentrating at work. My wife keeps telling me to get my thyroid checked because her friend had similar issues. What are the common symptoms of thyroid problems?

Common symptoms of thyroid problems include unexplained weight gain or loss, feeling extremely tired, and experiencing mood swings. Since I manage my diabetes carefully, I know how interconnected metabolic issues can be, so watching your diet is good but not a substitute for medical testing. Please see a doctor to get a proper TSH blood test done.

When my mother had thyroid issues, she used to feel cold even in summers, and her skin became extremely dry. She also had a lot of hair thinning and general muscle weakness. I cannot give any medical advice, but in her case, getting diagnosed by an endocrinologist and starting daily medication made a huge difference.

Beta, thyroid problems can affect your whole body, causing either rapid weight loss and heartbeat or weight gain and constant laziness. While keeping a healthy diet with less processed food and drinking coriander water can support your digestion, these will not cure thyroid. You must get a proper blood test done and consult a doctor.

I completely understand how terrifying it feels when your body starts acting up and you don't know why; the anxiety can be overwhelming. When my thyroid levels went off, I had severe heart racing and sudden weight loss, which made me panic even more. Please don't stress yourself out too much—it is very common and a simple doctor visit will help you get it sorted.

I was just reading up on thyroid issues out of curiosity because so many people around me seem to have them. From what I gathered, symptoms can range from constant fatigue and dry skin to feeling anxious or gaining weight out of nowhere. It's quite interesting how one small gland can affect so many different things in our body.
