What are the symptoms of sleep deprivation?

For the past few months, I've been feeling really tired even after sleeping for 7-8 hours. My friends joke that I look like a zombie. I'm wondering if I'm not getting proper sleep or if something else is going on.

My fitness band showed my deep sleep was barely 30 minutes, and the symptoms were totally obvious the next day. I had terrible brain fog, constant yawning, extreme irritability, and intense sugar cravings. Tracking your sleep hygiene and setting a screen-free bedtime routine really helps.

I used to think my extreme morning fatigue and daytime sleepiness were just due to my thyroid levels acting up. But actual sleep deprivation also causes constant headaches, forgetfulness, and a weak immune system. Do get your blood levels checked, but also talk to your doctor about your sleep patterns.

At the clinic I visit, the doctor explained that chronic sleep deprivation can cause severe mood changes, lack of focus, and even high blood pressure over time. If you are struggling to sleep for weeks, don't just rely on home remedies; ask a sleep specialist for a proper evaluation.

I get so anxious when I can't sleep, which makes my insomnia even worse! The symptoms like constant dizziness, a racing mind, and feeling exhausted but unable to rest are really horrible. Try to relax, avoid looking at the clock at night, and see a therapist or doctor if it continues.

Beta, if you don't sleep well, your head will feel heavy all day, your eyes will burn, and you will get angry very quickly at small things. Drink a glass of warm milk before bed and keep your phone away. If it still doesn't get better, please show a doctor.
