What are the symptoms of malaria parasite?

Someone in my neighborhood got diagnosed with malaria and the doc said it's due to a parasite. I'm curious to know how someone would even realize this. What are the symptoms if you have the malaria parasite?

I totally get it, waiting for test results or worrying about symptoms can be so stressful. Usually, it starts with a crazy shivering cold phase, then a very high fever, and then you sweat a lot when the fever drops. If you are feeling this cyclic fever along with severe body pain and headache, please get a blood test done immediately.

Listen, don't stress too much about it right now! Just check if you have that classic pattern of severe shivering followed by high fever every day or two, along with bad body ache. If it feels like that, just visit your doc today and get a quick blood test done, you'll be absolutely fine with the right meds.

When my cousin had malaria, he literally couldn't even look at his favourite biryani because of the extreme nausea and bitter taste in his mouth. He had a super high fever that came with crazy shivering and cold. If you are losing all taste and feeling burning hot and cold, definitely get tested.

Honestly, do not go by what people tell you on forums or WhatsApp for malaria. The symptoms like high shivering fever, severe headache, and vomiting can look like any normal viral infection too. Just go to a proper lab and get a malaria parasite blood test done instead of guessing.

Along with high fever and chills, malaria really messes up your digestion and makes you feel very weak. If you are experiencing nausea or loss of appetite, try having light veg khichdi and fresh coconut water to stay hydrated. But please remember, no food or diet can cure this, you absolutely need proper medical treatment.
