What are the symptoms of hepatitis a virus?
My friend just got diagnosed with Hepatitis A after feeling very unwell and jaundiced. I'm wondering what other symptoms of hepatitis A virus are, so I can be careful and look out for them myself.

I got so paranoid when I had a mild fever and dark urine last year, thinking it was something permanent. Hepatitis A symptoms include sudden nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite, and then the yellowing of skin and eyes (jaundice). Please don't panic, but do get a liver function test to confirm it so you can rest properly.
Hepatitis A can leave you feeling extremely weak, with joint pain, fever, and yellowing of the skin or eyes. If you are diagnosed, you must put your gym workouts on hold as your liver needs absolute rest to recover. Once your doctor gives the green light, you can slowly start with short, gentle walks.
Common signs of Hepatitis A include feeling very tired, having a mild fever, losing your appetite, and noticing dark-colored urine or pale stools. Please rest as much as possible and take care of your health.
I totally panicked when my eyes turned yellow and I couldn't even look at food because of intense nausea. But my doctor reassured me that Hepatitis A is a short-term infection and doesn't become chronic like Hep B or C. With complete rest, simple boiled food, and time, my liver recovered completely in a few weeks.
I had Hepatitis A a few years ago, and the most distinct symptoms were tea-colored dark urine and pale, clay-colored stools. You will also feel a complete loss of appetite and mild pain in your upper right abdomen. My tip is to avoid any oily, heavy food completely and stay strictly hydrated with coconut water and fresh juices.
I agree with the symptoms mentioned. Extreme fatigue and yellowing of the eyes are major signs of Hepatitis A that you should get checked.

Please do not take Hepatitis A lightly or try to self-treat with local herbs, as I did and ended up with severe liver swelling. Symptoms like severe vomiting, yellow eyes, dark urine, and confusion need urgent medical attention. Go to a proper doctor and get your liver enzymes monitored regularly.
When I was diagnosed with Hepatitis A, the constant nausea and extreme weakness made me feel so helpless and depressed. I couldn't even bear the smell of food, and seeing my skin turn yellow was very scary. It's okay to feel down, but please know that this virus passes and your strength will come back.
