What are the symptoms of hair fall?

I've been noticing a lot more hair in my comb and on my pillow lately, and my hair feels much thinner. I'm getting a little concerned. What exactly are the common symptoms of hair fall, and when should I worry?

Seeing more strands than usual on your comb, pillow, or in the shower drain is how it usually starts. Sometimes your ponytail might also feel a bit thinner than before. It is very stressful, but please take a deep breath, it is a very common issue and can be managed.

The main symptoms include a widening part line, visible patches of scalp, or losing more than 100 strands a day consistently. While trying different shampoos or oils is common, hair fall is often linked to internal issues like vitamin deficiencies or thyroid imbalance. It is always best to consult a dermatologist and get basic blood tests done for a proper solution.

My hair fall started showing up as a clogged shower drain every single morning, and honestly, my ponytail felt like a rat's tail! I realized my junk food cravings and lack of protein were the main culprits. Once I started adding curry leaves to my food and eating more paneer and eggs, my hair fall reduced so much!

Excessive hair fall often shows up as thinning near the forehead or clumps of hair coming out while oiling or washing. In my experience, high stress and poor digestion are major causes that weaken the roots. Doing gentle yoga like Adho Mukha Svanasana to improve blood flow and keeping a calm mind can help restore your hair's health.

I noticed severe thinning on my crown and a receding hairline when my stress levels and blood pressure were very high. Stress affects your blood circulation and hormone levels, which directly damages hair follicles. Along with checking your scalp, do get your overall health and lifestyle checked by a doctor.
