What are the symptoms of a mini stroke?

My uncle had a sudden episode of confusion and weakness on one side of his body, but it passed quickly. His doctor mentioned it might have been a 'mini stroke'. I'm trying to understand what the symptoms of a mini stroke are.

A mini stroke, or TIA, often shows up as a sudden numbness in the hand or face, or a brief difficulty in speaking. Even if it goes away in a few minutes, do not ignore it. Keep your mind calm, but please visit a hospital immediately for an evaluation.

My uncle had a sudden slurring of words during tea, but he was totally fine after ten minutes! We still rushed him to the doc, which was the best decision. Don't take sudden weakness lightly, go get checked right away! 👍

For something like a mini stroke, do not try to find home remedies or wait for OPD hours. Just call a local cab or ambulance and go to the nearest hospital with an active emergency wing. Keep your basic medical history and previous prescriptions ready in a file to save time.

Listen, if you or anyone around you is feeling sudden dizziness, double vision, or weakness on one side of the body, please don't wait to see if it improves. Even if the symptom lasts for just five minutes, it's a warning sign. Take them to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately.

Yes, sudden numbness in one arm or difficulty speaking is a classic sign. Please get to a doctor immediately as this requires urgent medical attention.
