Hi everyone, I'm new here and I wanted to know about malaria. I know it's a fever, but are there other specific signs? Also, can it sometimes feel like just a normal flu at first? I'm trying to be careful.

Malaria is pretty common in some areas, so it's good to know. The main symptoms are high fever with chills and sweating, feeling really tired, headaches, and body aches. It can feel like a bad flu. If you get these, especially after visiting an area with mosquitoes, get a blood test quickly from a doctor.

Oh, malaria! My roommate got it last year. He had super high fever, like shivering cold, and then sweating a lot. Plus, really bad headaches and body pain. He just felt totally drained. If you get those symptoms, especially after mosquito bites, you gotta get tested immediately.

Malaria is serious, especially after the rainy season. The main signs are high fever with chills, followed by sweating, often in cycles. You'll also feel very weak, have headaches and body aches. If you suspect it, a simple blood test at any clinic or lab can confirm it quickly, and treatment is readily available. Don't delay.

With high BP, I keep a close watch on my health. Malaria definitely makes you feel very weak and tired, apart from the high fever and chills. If you have such symptoms, especially after monsoon or traveling to endemic areas, don't delay a blood test. Early diagnosis is key to prevent complications.

Malaria? Ugh, the gift that keeps on giving, from those tiny mosquitoes. It's not just a normal fever, mind you. It's like your body is having a personal war with itself – shivering so much you feel like an earthquake, then sweating buckets. Plus, headaches so bad you want to call in sick for a month. If you get it, go to the doc, don't be a hero!

My doctor always stressed that malaria symptoms typically appear 10 days to 4 weeks after infection, though they can sometimes show up as early as 7 days or as late as a year. The classic symptoms include high fever, chills, profuse sweating, headache, nausea, vomiting, muscle pain, and fatigue. Some forms can cause cycles of fever and chills. Early blood tests are vital for diagnosis and treatment.
