What are some pregnancy cravings?

My sister just got pregnant, and she's suddenly craving the strangest things, like pickles with ice cream! It's so funny. I'm curious, what are some other common or weird pregnancy cravings that people often experience?

My wife craved sour things like raw mangoes and imli during her pregnancies. For high BP, we always had to be careful with salty things. It's important to indulge in moderation and make sure the cravings don't interfere with a healthy diet. And keep those BP checks regular!

While cravings are normal, if they are for non-food items (like soil or ice), please don't ignore it. It can indicate a nutrient deficiency, like iron. I once ignored my unusual fatigue and it was due to low iron. Always mention unusual cravings to your doctor during checkups.

I'm always worried about cravings, like what if I crave something unhealthy and can't control it? My friend craved chalk! Did anyone else have really weird, non-food cravings during pregnancy? It just makes me anxious thinking about it.

Cravings are real, but don't just indulge in everything or follow random internet suggestions. If the cravings are extreme, or for non-food items (Pica), always discuss it with your doctor. They can check for nutritional deficiencies. Don't believe every 'tip' online about what cravings mean.

Pregnancy cravings can vary hugely, but common ones include sour foods (like raw mango, tamarind), spicy dishes, sweets, and sometimes even non-food items like ice or dirt (this is called Pica and needs medical attention). It's thought to be due to hormonal changes and nutrient deficiencies. Try to substitute with healthy options where possible.

Oh, my recent pregnancy was a roller coaster of cravings! For me, it was always super spicy chaat, then suddenly only sweet kheer. And then a phase where I only wanted plain rice with curd. It changed constantly. Just try to keep it balanced, my doctor told me.

Oh, pregnancy cravings are legendary! My sister craved ice cream with pickles, imagine! But usually, it's specific food items like spicy chaat, sour tamarind, or sometimes sweet things like ladoos. The practical solution is to try and satisfy them in a healthy way if possible, or in small portions.
