What are piles in the body?

A relative of mine was recently diagnosed with something related to 'piles,' and I'm a bit confused. Can someone explain what piles are when they refer to the human body?

They are swollen veins located in the lower rectum and anus. I've been feeling a small lump down there recently and it's making me so anxious. Has anyone else felt this, and does it go away on its own?

Hey, relax. Piles are just swollen blood vessels near your anus, very similar to varicose veins some people get on their legs. It is extremely common, so don't stress. Just start drinking more water and eating more green veggies from today.

They are swollen blood vessels in the passage where stool passes. My daughter suffered from this due to junk food cravings. I had to strictly add fiber-rich fruits like apples and papayas to her diet, which helped her recover quickly.

They are swollen tissues containing veins in the anal passage. I literally panicked and searched the entire internet when I first felt them, thinking the worst. It is actually quite manageable, so try not to stress too much like I did.

Think of them as angry, inflated balloons of blood vessels in your backside because you didn't drink enough water. Just feed your body some fiber and water, and those balloons will calm down soon enough, don't worry!

These are swollen veins in the anus that hurt when you are constipated. Eating a bowl of ripe papaya daily and drinking warm milk with a spoon of ghee at night helps a lot. But if you see bleeding, please visit a doctor immediately.

In short, they are swollen anal tissues that cause discomfort when you sit or pass stool. If you have a busy desk job, use a cushion and stand up every hour. Don't waste time trying endless home cures if the pain is severe; just see a doctor.

These are inflamed veins in the anal canal. Since my thyroid issues often cause severe constipation, I have to be very careful with my digestion to avoid piles. Regular thyroid checks and doctor visits are essential to keep bowel movements normal.
