What are common symptoms of asthma?

My son has been having a persistent cough and sometimes wheezes, especially when he plays. My mother suggested it might be asthma, but I want to be sure. What are the most common symptoms of asthma in children and adults?

Usually, it is wheezing, chest tightness, and a dry cough, especially at night or early morning. Just like managing blood sugar, you have to be very consistent with keeping your surroundings dust-free and avoiding cold foods that trigger your throat.

It is mostly shortness of breath, a whistling sound when you breathe, and coughing. I always get so anxious thinking a simple cold might turn into asthma. If you are feeling short of breath, please don't wait around and get it checked by a doctor.

The classic signs are coughing, wheezing, and feeling like your chest is tight. Also, remember that if someone is struggling to speak, has severe breathlessness, or their lips are turning blue, it's a major emergency. Go to the nearest hospital immediately.

Feeling like you can't draw a full breath can be extremely terrifying and causes so much panic. Chest tightness and coughing are very common symptoms of asthma. It is completely normal to feel scared, but a doctor can easily help you manage it with the right spray.

For me, it is constant coughing during dust storms and that lovely whistling sound in my chest when I try to climb stairs. It makes you feel like an old rusty steam engine. If you are huffing and puffing constantly, better see a doc soon.

Persistent coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath after minor physical exertion are the classic signs. If you are experiencing these, get a spirometry test done as advised by a physician. Don't sit and guess.

Generally, it presents as difficulty in breathing and a dry cough. My elders suggested hot milk with turmeric, which is soothing, but we always consult our family doctor for the proper inhaler dosage. Please get a proper diagnosis done.

I totally get it, struggling to breathe and feeling that tightness in your chest is so scary. Wheezing and a persistent dry cough are very common. Please take care of yourself and don't hesitate to visit a clinic if it gets hard to breathe.

My younger sister has it, and her main symptoms are a continuous cough that gets worse at night and a squeaky sound when she breathes out. Using a humidifier in the room helps a bit, but keeping her inhaler close is what actually saves her.

Don't panic, asthma is very manageable. The usual symptoms are just some coughing, wheezing, and a bit of breathlessness when there is dust or cold weather around. Just get a doctor to check it out once, they will give you a simple treatment plan.

Beta, breathlessness, coughing, and a whistling noise in the chest are the main signs. Drinking warm ginger water can give some comfort to the throat. But if the breathing problem is heavy, you must take doctor's medicine and use the inhaler.

I had a severe attack last year where I couldn't breathe at all and ended up in the ICU. The main symptoms are wheezing and heavy chest tightness. Please don't treat this lightly or try self-medicating, see a pulmonologist and keep your inhaler handy.
