What antidepressant does not cause weight gain?

I've been feeling very low lately, and my doctor suggested considering an antidepressant. I'm concerned about gaining weight, as I've struggled with it before. Are there any antidepressants that typically don't cause weight gain?

Bupropion is usually the famous one for not making you gain weight, and sometimes it actually does the opposite! At least we don't have to choose between our mental peace and our favorite jeans, right?

When I was struggling with anxiety and depression, my doctor put me on Bupropion specifically because I was worried about weight gain. It worked well for my body, but you should definitely discuss your concerns with your psychiatrist.

From what I see in daily practice, Bupropion or Fluoxetine are often preferred for patients concerned about weight issues. Just make sure to discuss your metabolic history with your doctor so they can tailor the prescription safely.

In my experience, modern medicines like Bupropion have much fewer side effects than what we had decades ago. Don't let the fear of weight gain stop you from seeking help for your mental health, dear. Things are very manageable now.

It is so incredibly hard to deal with depression while also worrying about how your body might change. Bupropion is often known to not cause weight gain. Please be gentle with yourself during this difficult time, you deserve to feel better.

Bupropion is widely recognized as an antidepressant that is less likely to cause weight gain compared to SSRIs. However, because drug responses are highly individual, a detailed consultation with a psychiatrist is the best way to find a suitable match.

Don't worry too much about the weight, your mental health is the top priority right now. Medicines like Bupropion are excellent options that doctors use to avoid weight changes. Talk to your doc, they will take good care of you.

I have been on antidepressants for two years and found that Bupropion didn't affect my weight at all. My tip is to maintain a basic routine of light exercise and healthy eating, which also naturally boosts your mood along with the medicine.

I once avoided seeking help for my mental health because I was afraid of side effects like weight gain, and I deeply regret letting my condition worsen. Please go for a proper psychiatric checkup. A doctor can easily prescribe weight-neutral options like Bupropion.

I totally relate to this worry, I was so scared of weight gain too. My doctor told me Bupropion is generally weight-neutral. It is always a good idea to share your fears openly with your doctor so they can choose the right option for you.
