Should i drink lemon water after vomiting?

Just threw up after eating something that didn't agree with me. My mother-in-law is insisting I drink lemon water to feel better, but I'm not sure. Should I drink lemon water after vomiting or will it make things worse?

After vomiting, your stomach lining can be quite irritated. While lemon water is usually refreshing, its acidity might actually upset your stomach further. It's generally better to stick to plain water or ORS solution in small sips. Once you feel better, then maybe introduce mild liquids.

Honestly, after vomiting, all I want is for the world to stop spinning and for my stomach to calm down! 😩 Lemon water sounds nice for a detox, but after puking, the acidity might just send you back to square one. Stick to boring plain water or maybe a really bland ORS. Sleep deprivation makes these decisions harder!

With PCOS, I've learned how sensitive our bodies can be to sudden changes in diet. After vomiting, the stomach is very delicate. Lemon water, with its acidity, might not be the best choice and could cause more irritation. It's safer to stick to plain water or ORS. Always listen to your body and if unsure, a quick call to the doctor helps.

No, generally avoid it right after vomiting. The acidity of lemon can irritate an already sensitive stomach lining and might trigger more vomiting. Focus on clear, bland fluids like small sips of water or an ORS solution to rehydrate. Lemon water can come later, once your stomach has settled.

Amma always says, after vomiting, drink 'ganji' (rice water) or just plain warm water in small sips. Lemon water is generally for detox, but it can be acidic for a delicate stomach after an upset. It's better to be gentle. Of course, if it's very severe, always follow the doctor's advice, they know best.

Vomiting is such an awful experience, and the last thing you want is to trigger it again. I remember feeling so weak and confused. My doctor advised bland liquids only, like just water or ORS. The acidity from lemon might just make your stomach feel worse. Take it slow and easy with what you consume.
