Should diabetics avoid carbohydrates?

I'm diabetic and trying to manage my diet better, but it's all so confusing with so much information available. My doctor said to watch carbs, but should diabetics completely avoid carbohydrates, or is it about choosing the right ones?

Arey na yaar, avoid karna isn't the solution. Diabetics ko complex carbs khane chahiye, like whole grains. Portion control is key. White bread, sugar-laden stuff, woh sab avoid karo. But roti, daal, sabzi, yeh toh sab khaate hain, bas limit mein!

My grandad is diabetic and he def doesn't avoid ALL carbs. His doc told him it's more about *which* carbs and *how much*. Like, jalebi no, but a small bowl of dal-chawal, totally fine. It's confusing but yeah, totally avoiding isn't practical.

My uncle is diabetic, and he has carbs daily. The main thing is to avoid simple sugars and refined carbs. Whole wheat roti, brown rice are fine in moderation. It's all about balanced diet and regular exercise, bhai.

Ho na, carbs are important for energy. My doctor explained that completely avoiding them isn't good. It's more about knowing which carbs raise your sugar fast and which ones release slowly. So, portion control and choosing wisely, that's the main thing.

For my son, who has Type 1, his nutritionist always emphasizes balancing carbs with protein and fiber, not cutting them out. Our body needs energy, even diabetics. The focus should be on good quality carbs and monitoring blood sugar, not complete avoidance.

Initially, when my dad was diagnosed, we panicked and thought 'no carbs ever again!' But that's not true. His diabetologist said it's about smart carb choices – complex carbs, high fiber, and strict portion control. It's manageable, don't worry too much.

Bhaiyya, poora chhodna toh mushkil hai. Humare yahan toh roti, chawal hi khana hai. Doctor ne kaha tha ki kam khao, aur sabzi jyada. Thoda-thoda sab kha sakte ho, bas meetha aur maida kam karo. Khush raho aur sehat ka dhyan rakho.

Many people try to avoid carbs completely thinking it's the solution, but it's not practical long-term. My relative tried that, and it made them weak. A good balance of complex carbs like millets, brown rice, along with proteins and vegetables, is what the doctor advised. It's about moderation and smart choices.

My friend tried to cut out all carbs without doctor's advice and ended up with other health issues. It's not about avoiding completely, but managing. Please consult a good endocrinologist and a dietician. They will give you a personalized diet plan based on your sugar levels and lifestyle.

Uff, carbs are life! Giving them up completely sounds like a nightmare. 😄 But seriously, for diabetics, it's about smart eating. You can still enjoy your favourite Indian meals, just make sure they are whole grains, portion controlled, and lots of veggies. A good dietician can help you find tasty ways to do it!

Like thyroid, diabetes also needs careful management and regular monitoring. My doctor always stresses that diet for diabetics isn't about elimination, but about selection and portion. You need to know your sugar levels and how different foods affect YOU. So, proper medical advice is key.

I ignored my sugar levels for too long, and it led to complications. Don't make my mistake. For diabetics, carbs are tricky. You can't just avoid them, you need specific guidance. See a doctor and a nutritionist ASAP, get a proper plan. Don't just guess.
