Is white or brown rice better for weight loss?

I'm confused about rice for weight loss. Some people swear by brown rice, others say white rice is fine in moderation. Which is better for weight loss, white or brown rice? I want to make the right choice for my diet.

In our home, we cannot live without rice, and my elders always preferred traditional white rice. However, my doctor explained that brown rice has more fiber which keeps you full longer. I now mix both or just control my white rice portions to manage my weight.

I completely understand how confusing and stressful all this food advice can get when you are trying to lose weight. Honestly, you do not need to stress about completely cutting out white rice. Just control the portion size and add lots of fiber-rich veggies to your plate.

I was looking into this too because I love my dal chawal and hate brown rice. It seems brown rice is technically better because of the extra nutrients and fiber, but calorie-wise they are almost the same. So if you control the portion, white rice is also fine.

Listen, don't punish yourself by eating brown rice if you absolutely hate the taste. Weight loss is a long journey and you should enjoy your food. Just eat a smaller bowl of white rice, but load up on dal and sabzi to get that fiber. Take it easy.

I used to panic and think white rice was my enemy, so I forced myself to eat tasteless brown rice for months. Later, my nutritionist assured me that standard white rice is perfectly fine if you eat it in moderation with good protein. Now I happily eat my normal rice and still lost weight.

Brown rice is honestly quite expensive compared to local white rice and hard to sustain on a tight monthly budget. I just buy regular white rice, limit the quantity, and invest that saved money on buying fresh seasonal vegetables and eggs instead. It is much more practical.

Whatever you eat, eat it with love and gratitude instead of guilt. Food nourishes our body, so whether it is simple white rice or brown rice, bless your meal. Eat mindfully, do your daily walks, and everything will align beautifully.

Bro, brown rice has a bit more fiber but honestly, the calorie difference is negligible. I still eat white rice after my gym sessions, just with double chicken or eggs. Keep your protein high and stay in a calorie deficit, that's what actually works.
