Is wheat pasta better for diabetics?

I have type 2 diabetes and love pasta, but I've switched to wheat pasta thinking it's a healthier alternative. Is wheat pasta truly better for diabetics compared to regular pasta, or does it still spike blood sugar?

I tried eating wheat pasta thinking it was safe, but my blood sugar spiked dangerously high and I had to see my endocrinologist. Please consult your doctor before adding processed wheat items to your diet.

Don't believe the fancy 'wheat pasta' labels without checking. Most of them still contain a high amount of processed starch that spikes sugar. Get a real diet chart from a qualified dietician.

Wheat pasta is slightly better than regular white pasta because of the fiber, but it is still highly processed. If you do eat it, load it with lots of broccoli, capsicum, and paneer to control the sugar spike.

I used to panic and think I could never touch pasta again after my diagnosis. My doctor told me that having a small portion of whole wheat pasta occasionally with plenty of fiber and protein is absolutely fine.

My son loves pasta, so I occasionally make whole wheat pasta for him. I make sure to add a lot of sautéed chicken or paneer and vegetables to keep his blood sugar from spiking too fast.

My family often suggests traditional organic grains instead of any kind of pasta. I also feel that for diabetes, sticking to what your doctor advises is always the safest path to avoid sudden complications.
