Is vision loss from stroke permanent?

My uncle suffered a stroke a few months ago, and he's been struggling with his vision ever since. The doctors haven't given a clear answer. We are all wondering, is vision loss from stroke permanent, or can it improve over time?

Man, strokes are scary and I'm barely awake enough to read this, but from what the doctors told our family, it isn't always permanent. The brain has this cool way of rewiring itself sometimes. But seriously, please make sure they are seeing a proper neurologist and eye specialist for this.

My uncle went through this after his stroke last year. Honestly, it depends on how fast they got medical help. His vision didn't recover fully, but with occupational therapy and regular exercises, it got much better over six months. Don't lose hope yet.

My father faced partial vision loss after a stroke in 2021. The doctor told us that some recovery happens naturally in the first 3 to 6 months as brain swelling goes down. We did daily visual tracking exercises and regular checkups, which helped him regain about 60% of his vision. Stay patient.

In my long life, I have seen several friends recover from strokes. Some recovered their eyesight completely within a few months, while some had to adapt to partial vision. The key is to start rehabilitation and eye therapy as early as possible without wasting any time.

The human brain is like a stubborn computer—sometimes it just needs a lot of time to reboot its graphic card after a crash! It’s not automatically a permanent game over for the eyesight. Keep pushing with the doctor's therapy plan and let the brain do its repair work.

I can't give medical opinions, but my grandmother had a stroke that affected her left-side vision. Over a year, with proper medication from her neurologist and consistent therapy, she saw a noticeable improvement. It wasn't a 100% recovery, but it made her daily life much easier.
