Is tylenol or ibuprofen better for back pain?

I strained my back while lifting something heavy. I have Tylenol and Ibuprofen at home. Which one would be better for this kind of acute back pain?

Look, for something like back pain, which can have so many causes, taking advice from anonymous online forums isn't the smartest. Both Tylenol and Ibuprofen have different mechanisms and side effects. Get yourself to a doctor, let them diagnose the cause of your pain, and then take what they prescribe. Don't self-medicate.

Oh, back pain is very common, beta. Tylenol (paracetamol) helps with pain. Ibuprofen (Advil) also helps with pain and if there is any swelling in your back. But it's good to ask your local doctor. They will tell you which one is better for your body, na.

Uff, back pain is worse than missing out on your favorite biryani! 😉 For such nagging pain, I'd say consult a doc. They'll tell you if Advil's anti-inflammatory action is better for your back, or if Tylenol is enough. Don't let pain stop you from enjoying good food, get it checked!

My fitness tracker actually has a section on common pain relievers. For back pain, if it's muscular and feels inflammatory (like after a heavy lift), ibuprofen might be more effective because it's an anti-inflammatory. Tylenol is more for general aches. Always cross-check with a doc before taking anything.

As someone managing high BP, I'm very careful with medicines. Ibuprofen (Advil) can sometimes raise blood pressure, so my doctor always advises against it for me. Tylenol is generally safer for BP patients. For back pain, it's not just about the painkiller, but also about lifestyle. Get regular checkups and ask your doctor which medicine is safe for *your* health conditions.
