Is there treatment for cirrhosis of the liver?

My neighbor was just diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, and she's very down about it. I was wondering if there is treatment for cirrhosis of the liver, or is it mostly just about managing symptoms?

My uncle had early-stage cirrhosis due to fatty liver and the doctor put him on strict lifestyle changes. There is no complete cure to reverse the scarring, but you can definitely stop it from getting worse. He had to stop alcohol completely and eat very clean.

Haan na, it is a very serious condition and scary to deal with. Treatment mainly focuses on managing the symptoms and protecting the remaining healthy liver. You must consult a good gastroenterologist at the earliest to plan the right treatment.

Hey, don't stress too much, medical science has advanced a lot now. While the damage can't be fully undone, doctors can manage it really well with meds and diet. Just make sure the patient stays positive and follows the doctor's plan closely.

For liver conditions, gentle yoga like Pranayama and Kapalbhati can help improve blood circulation, but only under expert guidance. However, these are strictly supportive practices. You must follow the clinical treatment prescribed by your doctor.

I completely understand how difficult this diagnosis is for the family. While home remedies like papaya seeds or juices can support general digestion, please do not rely on them for cirrhosis. Strict medical treatment and regular checkups are absolutely necessary here.

Cirrhosis treatment depends entirely on the stage it is in. If it is compensated, medications and strict diet changes work well, but advanced stages might require a liver transplant. Get an appointment with a top hepatologist right away.
