Is swimming good for arthritis?

My knees have been hurting a lot lately, especially when I walk or climb stairs. My physio suggested some light exercise, and a neighbour mentioned swimming might help with arthritis. Is it true, or should I stick to something else?

Oh, for sure! I had knee arthritis, and my physio specifically recommended swimming. The buoyancy of water takes the pressure off your joints, so you can move without pain. It made a huge difference for me, really helped with mobility.

Yes, swimming is often recommended for arthritis! The water supports your body, reducing stress on sore joints. It allows for a wider range of motion than on land, which can help improve flexibility and strength without causing further pain. Just ensure the water isn't too cold.

For me, managing diabetes means also caring for overall health. Swimming is excellent because it's a full-body exercise that is gentle on the joints, which is crucial when you might have other complications. It helps maintain a healthy weight too, easing stress on arthritic joints. Always good to discuss with your doctor.

Dude, swimming is awesome for arthritis! My aunt swears by it. The water makes you feel weightless, so no pressure on your joints. Don't stress too much, just give it a try. It really helps with movement and feeling better.

Haan, swimming bahut accha hai gathiya ke liye. Paani mein jodon par zyada zor nahi padta. Doctor bhi yehi salah dete hain. Shuru karoge toh fayda milega pakka.
