Is sushi bad for pregnancy?

I'm newly pregnant and craving some sushi, but my sister said I absolutely cannot have it. Is sushi really bad for pregnancy, or are there certain types that are safe to eat?

Congratulations on the pregnancy! Raw fish sushi is generally not recommended because of infection risks, but you can totally enjoy cooked vegetarian sushi like avocado or cucumber rolls! Stay happy and healthy.

My mother always tells us to eat fully cooked, warm foods during pregnancy to avoid stomach bugs. My wife's doctor also strictly advised against raw seafood due to parasites and high mercury levels. Please consult your obstetrician first.

Do not follow lifestyle bloggers who say raw fish is safe during pregnancy. Food poisoning from listeria can be very dangerous for the baby. Always verify these dietary restrictions directly with your gynecologist.

As a rule of thumb, raw or undercooked meats and fish should be avoided during these nine months. If you love sushi, just stick to well-cooked shrimp tempura or vegetarian rolls from a highly hygienic restaurant.

Hey, please be very careful right now. Eating raw fish sushi carries a high risk of bacterial infections which can harm your pregnancy. Better to avoid it completely for a few months to protect your little one.

While fish is a great source of lean protein and omega-3, raw sushi is too risky because of pathogens. Stick to fully grilled or baked fish dishes during this period to get your protein safely.

Actually, raw fish is a big risk during pregnancy, yaar. The chances of getting food poisoning are just not worth it. If you have cravings, just go for fully veg sushi options instead.

Don't stress too much about missing out on your favorite food! You can still have delicious cooked rolls or tempura sushi. Just a few more months to go, then you can eat whatever you want!
