Is sugar free food good for diabetics?

I have type 2 diabetes and I'm always looking for healthier food options. I see a lot of 'sugar-free' products now. Is sugar-free food generally good for diabetics, or should I be cautious?

Honestly, 'sugar-free' is mostly a marketing gimmick. If a sugar-free biscuit is made of maida, it's still going to spike your insulin. Stop buying processed packaged food and focus on real, whole foods instead.

Don't fall for the 'sugar-free' labels blindly, my dear. Many of these foods contain refined flour, starch, and fats which can raise your blood sugar anyway. Simple home-cooked dal, rotis, and vegetables are the safest for diabetes.

Since I have thyroid issues, I have to be very careful with processed foods as they affect my metabolism. Please get your HbA1c and thyroid levels tested regularly. Always consult your endocrinologist before starting any special diabetic diet.

Actually, sugar-free foods can be super misleading yaar. I bought these sugar-free sweets once and my dad's sugar went up anyway because of the ghee and maida. Better to stick to normal ghar ka khana.

Always track the total carbohydrate count on the label, not just the sugar. Many sugar-free foods are loaded with hidden carbs that break down into glucose. I use an app to scan barcodes before buying anything now.

Don't believe what companies claim on internet ads about sugar-free products. Many of them use cheap chemical substitutes that are bad for your stomach. It is best to verify with your doctor or a qualified clinical nutritionist.

Maine apne pati ke liye bahut se sugar-free dabba waale khane mangwaye, par unka pait kharab ho jata tha. Phir humne ghar par hi methi ka paani aur saada khana dena shuru kiya, jisse unki sugar bilkul kabu mein rehti hai.

I totally get it, managing cravings when you have diabetes is incredibly hard. You see these sugar-free cookies and feel relieved, but they can still affect your health. Try having roasted chana or nuts when you feel hungry.
