Is stress bad for pregnancy?

I'm pregnant with my first child and have been feeling quite stressed lately with work and everything. My mother keeps telling me to relax, saying stress can be bad for the baby. Is stress really harmful during pregnancy?

High stress is definitely not good during these delicate months. If you are feeling constantly overwhelmed or notice any physical symptoms like cramps or spotting, please tell your doctor immediately. Do not ignore your peace of mind right now.

Dekho, extra stress is bad for anyone, and during pregnancy, it is even worse for the baby. Stop taking load of office and household issues right now. Take rest, watch light things, and let others do the heavy work.

In our times, we also had so much work and tension, but everything went fine with God's grace. Just stay happy, eat fresh food, and don't let small things bother you. Your baby feels whatever you feel, so keep yourself calm.

Please try to take things one day at a time. It is natural to feel some tension, but try to rest as much as possible. We are all here supporting you.

While mild daily stress is normal, chronic stress can affect maternal health and blood pressure. It is best to discuss your stress levels openly with your doctor during your next prenatal visit. They can guide you on safe coping mechanisms or therapy if needed.

My wife had severe thyroid issues during her pregnancy, and stress made her hormone levels go completely haywire. It is very important to keep your blood tests and checkups regular. Talk to your obstetrician if you are feeling too anxious so they can monitor your health closely.

Yes, it actually impacts your BP and sleep which isn't good for the baby. Cut out the drama, delegate work, and focus on your health. Better to be safe than sorry during these nine months.
