Is spotting a sign of pregnancy?

I've been trying to conceive for a few months, and this month I had some very light spotting a week before my expected period. Is spotting typically a sign of early pregnancy?

It can be! My partner tracks her cycle on Flo and we noticed light spotting right around the time her period was due, which turned out to be implantation bleeding. I'd say log your symptoms and see if your period is actually delayed before testing.

Oh, it absolutely can be! When I had it, I also started craving spicy street food like crazy. But don't just rely on symptoms—grab a quick home test kit to know for sure!

Stop reading online forums for diagnosis. Spotting can happen due to hormonal shifts, stress, or cysts, not just pregnancy. Skip the self-diagnosis and book an appointment with a gynaecologist.

My wife had this years ago and we panicked. Turns out bodies just do weird things to keep us on our toes. Save your energy and just get a simple medical test done.

My grandmother used to say light spotting is natural when the baby is settling in, but my doctor advised me to always get a scan to be safe. It is very common, so please stay calm and consult your gynecologist.

As someone with PCOS, I get spotting all the time without being pregnant, so it's tricky. If you have irregular periods, don't assume anything immediately—it is best to get a beta-HCG blood test done for accurate results.
