Is sourdough better for diabetics?

My doctor said I should try to reduce my carb intake because of my pre-diabetes. I heard that sourdough bread might be a better option than regular bread. Is sourdough better for diabetics?

I am barely surviving on four hours of sleep, but I still make sure to buy sourdough bread for my dad. It has a lower glycemic index because of the fermentation, so his sugar doesn't go crazy. It is worth the extra price just to avoid the morning doctor calls!

Traditional fermented foods have always been good for digestion and health. Sourdough bread undergoes a natural slow rising process, making it much easier on the system than modern fast-yeast bread. But remember to eat it in small amounts with green vegetables.

When my teenage daughter was diagnosed with high glucose levels, we swapped her regular sandwich bread for sourdough. It keeps her full for longer and we don't see those scary post-breakfast spikes anymore. Just ensure it is authentic sourdough without added yeast.

I used to eat normal white bread daily and ignored my rising fasting sugar levels until my doctor warned me about nerve damage. Please get your HbA1c checked properly and make the switch to sourdough or jowar roti immediately to manage your levels.

My grandmother always said fermented foods are best for health, and my doctor also agreed that sourdough is much safer for my diabetes than normal bread. I have one toasted slice with egg whites in the morning and it works beautifully for my sugars.
