Is sore throat a sign of pregnancy?

My throat has been a bit scratchy and sore for the past few days, and I'm also experiencing some fatigue. Could a sore throat be a sign of pregnancy? I've heard some unusual symptoms can pop up.

Actually, a sore throat is usually just a cold or seasonal allergy! But sometimes early pregnancy lowered immunity can make you catch a cold easily. Drink some warm ginger water and take care.

Not directly. A sore throat is typically due to a viral infection, though pregnancy does slightly lower your immunity.

Don't rush to buy expensive pregnancy tests just for a sore throat, as it is most likely a common cold. Wait until your period is actually late by a few days to avoid wasting money on early tests. In the meantime, home remedies like salt water gargles cost nothing and work best.

A sore throat generally means your immune system is fighting off a minor bug. Keep your nutrition high with good proteins and seasonal fruits, and cut back on heavy workouts until you feel better. If you suspect pregnancy, a gentle routine is best.

I don't think so, sore throat is usually viral. Just be careful if you are taking cough drops or honey-lemon water to soothe it, as those can secretly spike your blood sugar levels if you are diabetic or checking for gestational diabetes.

Arey nahi, sore throat pregnancy ka direct sign nahi hai. Haan, weak immunity ki wajah se cold jaldi ho jata hai progesterone change se, but test hi confirm karega na. Normal salt water gargle karo pehle.

It is best not to guess about these things. When I was expecting, my hospital doctors clearly told me to report any viral symptoms or throat pain directly to them instead of self-treating, as many common cold medicines are unsafe during pregnancy. Please consult your doctor.
