Is soda harmful during pregnancy?

I'm expecting my first baby and trying to be very careful with my diet. I sometimes crave soda, but my mother-in-law says it's very harmful. Is soda harmful during pregnancy?

Please don't rely on online forums for pregnancy queries. The high caffeine, artificial sweeteners, and preservatives in sodas can affect fetal development. You must discuss your diet directly with your gynecologist before consuming anything carbonated.

Pregnancy is already hard enough with zero sleep, but soda makes the heartburn and gas ten times worse! Trust me, the temporary craving is not worth the painful burps and acid reflux at 3 AM. Stick to plain cold water.

When my sister was pregnant, her doctor strictly told her to avoid colas because of the caffeine and high sugar levels. She switched to fresh fruit juices and coconut water. It's better to be safe during these critical months.

Sodas can cause severe acidity and leach calcium from your bones when you need it most. For nausea or morning sickness, try drinking ginger-mint water or sucking on a piece of lemon. These natural methods are highly effective and completely safe for your baby.

Actually yaar, pregnancy me soda avoid karna hi safe hai. The chemical content and excessive sugar are not good for the baby. If you crave fizz, just mix a little fresh lemon juice in cold water, it works much better!
