Is sleeplessness a sign of pregnancy?

I'm trying for a baby, and recently I've been having trouble sleeping, waking up multiple times during the night. I heard that sleeplessness can sometimes be an early sign of pregnancy, along with other symptoms. Is this true?

Sleeplessness can be a sign due to hormonal shifts, but it can also happen because of stress or other issues. It is always best to do a pregnancy test or consult your doctor to find the exact cause.

Hormones can definitely disrupt sleep in early pregnancy. If your doctor permits, doing a 30-minute light walk in the evening can help tire your body naturally and improve your sleep quality.

I was researching this yesterday! Apparently, anxiety, frequent urination, and hormonal changes make sleeplessness very common in early pregnancy. It is quite a common symptom.

Yes, many women experience insomnia early on because of hormonal surges and anxiety. Try drinking a cup of warm milk before bed and keeping your bedroom cool to help you rest better.

Yes, it is a known sign. Try eating a light vegetarian dinner like oats or dal khichdi early in the evening, as heavy food can worsen pregnancy-related sleeplessness.

It definitely can be! Sometimes late-night food cravings or mild acidity from tasty snacks also keep pregnant women awake. Try to avoid heavy, spicy dinners to see if your sleep improves.

Hormonal changes in pregnancy do cause sleeplessness, but please note that high blood sugar can also disrupt sleep. If you are pregnant or trying, make sure to monitor your sugar levels regularly.

Sleeplessness can happen due to early physical changes. Maintaining a consistent routine, avoiding screen time before bed, and doing light stretching can help relax your muscles for better sleep.
