Is sleeping a lot a sign of pregnancy?

I'm trying to conceive and for the past week, I've been sleeping a lot more than usual, sometimes 10-12 hours and still feeling tired. My friend said she slept a lot in her early pregnancy. Can sleeping a lot actually be a sign of pregnancy?

I was reading about this recently online! Apparently, the surge in progesterone levels during early pregnancy can make you feel extremely exhausted and sleepy. It seems to be a super common sign.

Indeed, it is. When I was expecting my first child, I felt like sleeping day and night in the first few months. Listen to your body and rest, it is completely natural and normal.

I remember feeling so guilty for sleeping all day and thinking I was being lazy. It is a very real physical sign of pregnancy, so please be gentle with yourself and don't feel bad about resting.

Yes, hormonal changes cause this. My wife felt the same. If the doctor says it's okay, doing a gentle 20-minute walk can actually help improve your energy levels and mood during the day.

Yes, it is a sign. To help with the heavy feeling, make sure you are eating light meals, drinking coconut water, and not staying on an empty stomach. A simple home pregnancy test will confirm it for you.

I know how stressful it is when your body suddenly changes and you feel tired all the time. It is a very classic sign of pregnancy, so try not to worry. Just take a home test to clear your doubts.
