Is sex good during pregnancy?

My husband and I are expecting our first baby, and I'm in my second trimester. We're a little confused about physical intimacy during this time. Is sex safe and okay to have during pregnancy, or should we avoid it completely?

Generally, it's safe unless there are complications. Always good to check with your doctor.

Haan ji, usually it's considered safe and can actually be good for the bond. But the main thing is, no complications should be there like bleeding or risk of preterm labor. Doctor se puch lena is the most practical step for peace of mind.

Beta, if the doctor says everything is fine and there are no problems, then it's okay. It's a natural part of married life. But safety for mother and child is most important, so always listen to your lady doctor.

I've heard it's usually fine, but it makes me a little anxious thinking about it. Did anyone else feel really worried about accidentally hurting the baby or something like that? Or is it just my anxiety acting up?

Every pregnancy is different, so what's safe for one might not be for another. It's extremely important to have this conversation directly with your gynaecologist. They can advise based on your specific health condition and pregnancy progression.

Sex during pregnancy? My body was too busy growing a human and demanding sleep, I barely remembered my own name. But seriously, most docs say it's fine unless there are specific issues. Just ask your gynaecologist, they've heard it all.
